It is important to me to meet every student I teach, no matter what age where they are, where they are in their golf game. Taking each part of the game and breaking it down into understandable steps.
For example, I had a young student who was struggling with their stance and their swing. I asked the student do you like pizza? Yes was the response. So I decided to break the stance out into steps with a pizza slice analogy. Gripping the club in the shape of a pizza slice. Place the club in front of your feet to form an imaginary pizza slice. The distance between your feet would be the amount of cheese you put on the pizza slice. Depending on the club, the distance would be between your feet would be more or less (the cheese). This technique works well with younger children.
For someone who has been playing golf, I work on breaking down the steps of where they are struggling in their golf game. When we first meet, I evaluate their swing. Once I have evaluated their swing, I create a technique to help them improve ball striking. I break the process down into various steps to ensure they can work on the technique after the lesson is complete.
My goal for each person is to improve their love of the game by improving their experience on the golf course.
